Tata Motors March sales up 11%

MUMBAI (MarketWatch) — Tata Motors Ltd on Friday said it sold 83,363 vehicles in March, up 11% from 75,129 in the same period last year. Domestic sales of the firm’s commercial and passenger vehicles rose 9% to 77,431 from 71,024 in March of last year. Tata’s March total exports were at 5,932 vehicles compared with 4,105. For Tata’s full fiscal year 2010-11, total sales were up 25% year on year. Tata Motors shares fell 0.3% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
