Murray State Sees Record Fundraising

Murray State University has raised $58.7 million as part of the school’s fundraising campaign and university officials expect to exceed the $60 million goal.

Murray State Associate Vice President Bob Jackson told The Paducah Sun that the campaign fiscal year 2011 total is now at $8.7 million, which exceeds the former yearly record set in 2008, and is on pace to exceed $10 million.

Murray State President Randy Dunn said the fundraising shows that people care about the university, even in tough economic times.
