Mississippi legislators hear state’s economy showing slow, steady growth

Mississippi’s economy is growing slowly but steadily, and the improving economic activity should translate into an extra $6.5 million to spend before the 2011 fiscal year ends June 30, State Economist Darrin Webb told legislators Tuesday.
