Charlie Sheen allegedly agrees to pay crew salary during “Two and a Half Men” downtime

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) – Since it’s his wild partying ways and erratic behavior that drove the production for his sitcom “Two and a Half Men” to shut down temporarily, Charlie Sheen has agreed to pay the crew while he’s in rehab. Charlie’s generosity, however, is contingent to whether CBS and Warner Bros. agree to pay the remaining portion.

According to TMZ, Charlie, who is receiving treatment for his addiction, is upset that Warner Bros. and show creator Chuck Lorre did not offer to pay the production crew for the downtime. He allegedly made an offer to pay one-third of the crew salaries if Warner Bros. and the network also agree to pay one-third each as well.

The 45-year-old actor is also reportedly ready to come back to work next week to complete the season.

But a CBS exec told the website that no one on the show is ready to resume shooting on Monday, and that no one has asked to pay one-third of the crew salaries for the downtime.

The eye network adds that under the best of circumstances the show will come back at the end of the month.

A Warner Bros. exec wouldn’t comment on Charlie’s alleged financial offer, but told TMZ, “We sincerely hope that Charlie’s rehab is going well. We hope that he is healthy in the very near future and we look forward to the return of production of ‘Two and a Half Men.’”
