Britney Spears co-writing Selena Gomez’s new song

Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN Entertainment) – While Britney Spears left the songwriting duty for her new album “Femme Fatale” to others, she will be writing a song for a fellow Disney star. The former Mouseketeer will co-write the song “Whiplash” for “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Selena Gomez.

The report was verified by Britney’s rep to E! News.

The collaboration is good news for the Britney-worshipping Selena, who had told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show last month that the first concert she went to was by Britney.

Selena, 18, will also perform a lengthy tribute to the pop princess on her upcoming summer tour with her band, Selena Gomez and the Scene.

And while Britney hasn’t a single songwriting credit to her name on her new album, eonline.com noted that she co-wrote her 2003 hit “Me Against the Music.”
